Fly Me To The Moon.
This is a composite image of the New York, New York Hotel & Casino, the moon and Air Force One. I really like this photograph because it is quite unique. I took the photograph from the rear of the hotel instead of from the Strip like every other photograph of the hotel. The Hardrock Hotel
I took this photograph of the Hard Rock Hotel a couple of days before it closed on February 3, 2020. It is one of the nicest shots of the hotel that I have seen. This photo of the old Sahara and Jerry’s Nugget neon signs was taken at the Neon Boneyard Museum in Las Vegas. Some of the most iconic neon signs from the past are there. Paris Hotel
When I took this photograph I was looking to do something unique. After looking at numerous photos of Las Vegas I noticed that most of them were in color and contained very few clouds. Clouds are a rarity in Las Vegas! I decided to take a B&W photo with clouds. It took three trips to the Strip to get this photograph because the clouds wouldn’t cooperate. Moonrise over the High Roller on the Las Vegas Strip
This photograph was taken from approximately 6 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip with a 500mm telephoto lens. It was photographed from this distance so the moon would look very large in relation to the High Roller. The moon rises near the High Roller only twice a year and you have to pray for no clouds to get a good photograph of it! The STRAT Hotel and Gateway to Las Vegas Sign
I had to think for a while about how to get a unique shot of the STRAT Hotel and the gateway to Las Vegas sign. I looked at all the photos on the web and didn’t see anything really unique. I went there and took a lot of scouting photos with my cell phone. After reviewing them I went back with my high resolution DSLR and took the above photograph. I hope you like it. Las Vegas Ballpark
Las Vegas Ballpark – Home to the Las Vegas Avaitors Triple A baseball team. This was a challenging photograph to take because I couldn’t back up very far. My back was right up against a palm tree! I had to use a pretty wide angle lens to get the whole ballpark in the photograph.
